Lovable

Lovable 2.0 is a strong step forward in the tool’s evolution — with smarter collaboration features, a security-first mindset, and a cleaner visual identity. While a few things (like pricing transparency) still need polish, Lovable clearly signals its ambition to grow from a solo prototyping tool into a serious contender for full product teams.

Description

Lovable.ai is the European version to all the AI product builders out there and we like it! It focuses on non technical people and generates responsive front-end apps using natural language prompts. It integrates seamlessly with tools like Supabase for backend services and GitHub for version control, offering a comprehensive solution for both developers and non-technical users.

Best to use for

Lovable is great for early-stage product exploration, collaborative prototyping, and internal tools — especially for teams that want creative freedom with real code, but without diving fully into a traditional dev environment.

* Update: 09.04.25 * Lovable comes now with a Dev-mode, which gives you the ability to make changes in the code directly.

* Update: 25.04.25 * Lovable 2.0 released.

Pro & Cons

Pros:

  • New Multiplayer Workspaces: Similar to Tempo, Lovable now supports collaborative workspaces — ideal for startups and small teams working together under one billing account.
  • All-in-One Deployment: Fully integrated hosting and backend deployment means no DevOps headaches.
  • Best-in-Class Integrations: Native support for services like Stripe, Supabase, and others makes building functional apps lightning fast.
  • Security Scan (Finally!): Security features are still rare in the vibe coding space — Lovable is moving in the right direction to address team and enterprise-level expectations.

Cons:

  • Limited Visual Editor: While Lovable excels in generating applications from textual descriptions, its visual editor has limitations. Specifically, elements like lists and divs may not be directly editable through the visual interface, potentially requiring users to make adjustments through prompts or code.
  • Prompt Limitations: The premium subscription plan imposes a cap on the number of prompts users can utilize each month. This limitation might be restrictive for users who rely heavily on iterative development and frequent modifications.
  • Credit System Still Confusing: While pricing has been simplified, the credit system remains confusing and hard to find details about — this continues to be a friction point for new users.

Pricing

  • Free Plan: Limited features and prompt access, suitable for testing.
  • Pro Plan: Starts at $25/month, includes a personal workspace and limited project-based collaboration.
  • Teams Plan: Starts at $30/month, supports up to 20 users in a shared workspace with centralized credit management.

Note: Lovable still uses a credit-based system for certain features, but detailed info about what credits actually mean is hard to find.
